CA. Biswanath Mishra is the Managing Partner of BN & Associates, with over 23 years of post-qualification experience, including international industrial experience in senior management positions. Hailing from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, he became an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in September 2001 and a Fellow Member in 2009. He also successfully completed the Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection (FAFD) course through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi, in 2020.
He completed his professional training (Articleship) with S. S & Co., Chennai, and subsequently worked with Singhi & Co., Chartered Accountants, Chennai, as a Qualified Assistant from June 2000 to May 2002. He later joined PricewaterhouseCoopers, Malé, Republic of Maldives, as an Audit Senior from June 2002 to May 2003.
During his audit career, CA. Biswanath Mishra has independently handled statutory and internal audits of large corporate houses, banks, NBFCs, hotels and resorts across India and the Maldives, including the State Bank of India, Malé Branch.
In June 2003, he took up the role of Financial Controller for a group of companies in the Republic of Maldives and was subsequently elevated to Chief Financial Officer (CFO). During his tenure, he gained substantial industry exposure across trading and retail, construction, manufacturing, IT, architecture and project management, and real estate development.
He has extensive knowledge of business operations, internal control systems, and management requirements across various industries. He also has significant experience in operational and financial internal audits of five-star hotels and luxury resorts in the Maldives. Since the inception of BN & Associates, he has handled audits across industries including services, real estate, marine food processing, exports, ITES, FFMCs, banks in India, and luxury resorts in the Maldives.
